Frequently asked Questions

I often get messages from curious members of the public or potential swim-guests into my inbox – be that on Facebook, email or another platform. As an individual, who adores being out in the water, at times it can take me a day or two to respond.

To try and help out with enquiries in the meantime, I have put together a handy FAQ page!

You can have a wee read through to see if your question is answered here, but if it’s not, don’t panic – I will aim to get back to you within 48 hours.

Can you help me with my front crawl?

Yes!

In open water, I can help you improve your front crawl technique, either starting from scratch or helping you fine-tune your stroke to improve your efficiency and speed in the water.

I also offer front crawl technique workshops in the pool with video analysis

When do entries to the Scottish Winter Swimming Championships open?

We are very much hoping to be able to run the event again in 2022. We plan to open entries in late 2021. We are currently waiting to see what the Covid-19 situation is in terms of restrictions before making final decisions about event duration and capacity.

Please keep an eye on the SwimWild website and social media pages and subscribe to our email list for updates.

When will tickets for the SwimWild Highland Gathering go on sale?

The next SwimWild Highland Gathering is scheduled for 1st – 4th October 2021. We will open bookings in late summer 2021, when we should have a better idea of what Covid-19 restrictions will be in place.

As always, with limited accommodation available on-site, if you would like to reserve a room in the main house or one of the glamping options before the tickets go on sale, get in touch! Any deposits paid will be fully refunded if the event cannot go ahead or shifted to a new date if the event has to be postponed.

Please keep an eye out for updates closer to the time.
